Hi my lovely readers! While we are all practicing social distancing and quarantine right now I have been trying to get my face ready for when it makes its’ debut to human population again. I decided to share my favorite skin care product with you. Before I get started, all opinions are 100% my own and this post is NOT sponsored.
Whether you were able to make it to spring break or waiting for summer for the sunshine to hit your face, now is the perfect time to catch up on your skin care. I found this product about a year ago at Sephora. It is the Drunk Elephant Rise & Glow mini duo. If you are not familiar, Drunk Elephant is a skin care brand that focuses on natural products that are effective and safe for your skin.
I chose this mini duo to be the first product I try from their skin care line. Overall their full products can be pretty pricey for the average college student. That is why I chose the $22 duo that gives you two 8ml products for your skin! This comes with C-Firma day serum, which is supposed to firm and brighten your skin. The other is B-hydra intensive hydration which is claimed to quench and illuminate. As a pair they are supposed to work well together to firm, brighten, and moisturize your face.
After using this consecutively for a month I can say I have definitely seen a difference in my skin. When I do not wear makeup and only have these products on my face I feel like they do what they are advertised to.
The pro’s of this product is that it is good for all skin types, which is explained in their product description. It gives a daily dose of vitamins on your skin that you may not be used to. This product is also free of fragrances, essential oils, and silicones. I would say a con can be the price. In my opinion I think skin care is very important so I am willing to spend more than I would on typical makeup. $22 for a mini duo can be a lot, but I have found that these do last longer than you would expect!
